The Myo armband uses electromyography (EMG) sensors to measure and record electrical impulses given off by our muscles. By digesting these pulses, the armband would control a device based on the gesture, which, in turn, made the armband an "extension" of our actions.

‣ 92% of teenagers are constantly online doing other activities or playing games.
‣ Parents of preschoolers and middle schoolers are more willing to pay for apps that will help their child develop.
‣ Several educational games have a win-only component that distracts users from the main purpose of the game, resulting in a play-to-win not play-to-learn situation.
‣ Educational games are mundane and they don’t incorporate any fun features for users to interact with.
From our persona building, we learned that children between the ages of 7-10 years old are not very educated about the 5 Ways of Wellbeing. By incorporating these ideas into them from an early age, it can shape small behaviours such as learning how to share their items with siblings to being open and aware of cultures that individuals incorporate around them.
GAME CONCEPT
The game consists of 15 multiple-choice scenarios that relate to the day-to-day activities of children and use values of the 5 Ways of Wellbeing into these scenarios. The questions would be answered using the Myo band as a non-traditional method to play an educational game. The game that can be played individually with the band or players can simply use the mouse if they choose to play on-the-go.
